Q: What does the phrase over-the-top (OTT) mean?
A: Over-the-top refers to all the streaming services (Roku, AppleTV, etc.) that bring traditional television broadcasts directly to viewers via the Internet. OTT services bypass cable, broadcast, and satellite television platforms and the companies that traditionally distribute such content.

Q: Why is the programming schedule displaying incorrect times?
A: Our website uses your computer’s clock to determine what time zone you’re in. The programming schedule then displays showtimes to you accordingly. For example: if you live in Boston, you will see shows listed in Eastern Time. If you notice that the programming times are off, it is likely because your computer’s clock is not set to the correct time zone. Using a VPN can also cause this problem. To ensure that you see accurate programming times on the schedule, please make sure that your computer’s clock is set to the correct time zone for your location.
Q: How do I order a show/series/special I saw on CatholicTV?
A: DVDs are available for most of CatholicTV's productions. The cost is $16.95 for each half-hour program. To order a DVD call 617-923-0220. Please note the day, date, and time of the show you are looking for.
Q: I do not see CatholicTV listed as available to watch in my area, what can I do?
A: The CatholicTV Network broadcasts 24/7, but availability on your system depends on your local cable or satellite provider. If you would like to see CatholicTV in your area, send us an email and let us know where you live.
Q: What is the difference between TV Mass and participating in person?
A: There is a tremendous difference between watching Mass on TV and participating in the Liturgy in person. When watching the televised Mass we certainly hear God's Word and can be inspired to pray, but nothing can replace physically participating in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and receiving the Lord's precious Body and Blood in the Eucharist. Whenever possible, it is always preferable to attend Mass in person.
For those who cannot attend Mass, the televised liturgy serves a great purpose. For individuals who choose not to practice their faith or who are not Catholic, the televised Mass can help draw them to Jesus Christ.
